What is TMISAT?Tolani Maritime Institute Science Aptitude Test (TMISAT) is conducted by Tolani Maritime Institute (TMI) for admissions to its BTech programmes in Marine Engineering and Nautical Technology. Candidates who wish to pursue B.Tech Marine Engineering, B.Sc. Nautical Science and Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) can apply for TMISAT 2022.

The test of TMISAT will include the following:

- Temperamental suitability for a sea career
- Leadership qualities
- Physical fitness
- Aptitude for scientific concepts
Tolani Maritime Institute's selection process will test candidates on each of the above parameters by taking into account a candidate's 10+2 PCM marks, rank in IMUCET, the result of the TMI online entrance exam, performance in an interview, and satisfactory medical tests.
Online Test
- The Online Test has Main Test with 80 Questions in four sections and a Behavioral Assessment.
- The online test has a multiple-choice format covering Physics, Mathematics, Analytical and Logical Reasoning. The questions are of 10+2 level. There is one section each with negative marking in Physics and Mathematics. The duration of the test is 90 minutes.
- On completion of the Main test consisting of the above four sections, there will be a behavioral assessment for 30 minutes.
Personal Interview
Applicants are interviewed by a panel of educators and maritime professionals to assess the applicants' communication skills, leadership potential, clarity of thought, maturity, and reasoning abilities. The panel also looks for any extracurricular achievements of the candidate.
Medical Examination
Medical practitioners appointed by the Institute will examine all selected candidates for certifying confirmation with the medical requirements laid down by the Institute.
TMISAT 2022 EligibilityAspirants must be of a maximum of 21 years on Sep 1, 2022. The minimum age to apply is 17 years. A relaxation of two years will be given to female aspirants (maximum age criteria will be 22 years).
Educational Background & Marks Obtained:
- Aspirants must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (marks calculated together in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) in Class 12th.
- Only unmarried candidates will be eligible for admissions
- Aspirants who have appeared in Class XII in 2022 can also apply for the exam
- Medical fitness of candidates will also be considered.
At this stage, the candidates will have to fill the application forms for admissions to the undergraduate engineering programmes BTech programmes in Marine Engineering and Nautical Technology offered by Tolani Maritime Institute (TMI). The forms are available online on the official website.
To apply for TMISAT 2022, aspirants have required to login the official website and click on "Apply online for TMISAT 2022" and fill-up the form online.
While filling up the form candidates has to select the preferred venue.
After submission of the form, the online generated Hall ticket is sent to the email ID of the candidate (the email ID provided by the candidate during filling up of the form).
