What's New at Aryabhatta Knowledge University? Applications is open for eligible candidates for admission in M.Tech. (Nano Science & Technology)in the Dept of Aryabhatta Centre for Nanoscience & Nanotechnology(ACNN) of AKU, Patna.

Established in 2010, Aryabhatta Knowledge University is an Open University which is associated with the University Grants Commission. The university mainly focuses on providing technical education. It also offers medical and management related courses. The university comprises four schools, namely Centre for River Studies, Centre for Geographical Studies, Patliputra School of Economics and the Centre for Journalism & Mass Communication. The university has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. The university campus is built across an area of 7.6 acres. The university is known to have about 114 affiliated institutions.

The university offers various scholarships such as Max Weber Foundation Scholarship, Hong Kong Fellowship Scheme, Dr Manmohan Singh Scholarships, SJTU Scholarships, INSPIRE Scholarship, UWA India Scholarships and Malaysia International Scholarships. The scholarships are provided as per the student's financial need. Academic performance is also considered while choosing a student for the scholarship programme. To choose whether to provide a scholarship to the student or not is decided by the Scholarship Committee of the university. Need-based scholarships are provided according to the student's total family income. The scholarships come with many grants and awards. What's new at AKU? The application process for MTech and PhD in Nano Science & Technology, MSc in GIS & Remote Sensing and PhD in Geography is ongoing and the last date to apply is Jan 12, 2022. The entrance test for these courses will be held on Jan 18, 2022 and the admit card will be available from Jan 16, 2022. The interview for final selection is scheduled on Jan 21, 2022.

AKU offers UG, PG, Diploma and PhD courses across the streams of Engineering, Medical, Education, Computer Application, Pharmacy, Para-medical, etc. AKU admission to the majority of the courses is granted on the basis of scores in the last qualifying exam, whereas for a few medical courses AKU accepts NEET scores. AKU also conducts its own university entrance exams for courses including MTech, M.Ed, PhD, BSc and MSc Nursing.
