Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya offers different courses to candidates at UG, PG, and PhD level. Courses offered are in the subject areas of Agriculture, Horticulture, and Agricultural Engineering. 

Minimum Eligibility Criteria for UG & PG Courses

Candidates who have passed Standard XII with at least 50% aggregate marks in relevant subjects (as prescribed by the university) are eligible to apply for UG courses offered at Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya. Candidates who have cleared their graduation in relevant subject areas with the minimum prescribed percentage fulfil Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya eligibility criteria for PG courses.

Note: Aspirants are advised to go through the eligibility criteria as mentioned by Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya for the course in which they wish to secure admission.

Admission Process for UG & PG Courses

UG courses: Admission in all UG courses (except B Tech) offered at Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya is done on the basis of merit determined through candidates’ marks scored in the qualifying exam.

It may be noted that for admission in B Tech course the university accepts WBJEE scores.

Also, the official website informs, “Additional 20 seats for BSc (Ag) Hons, 6 seats for BSc (Hort) Hons courses at Mohanpur; 6 seats for Burdwan & 6 seats for Susunia campus (Bankura); & 5 seats for BTech (Ag Engg) Hons courses are kept reserved for admission through ICAR AIEEA”.

Note that after merit lists for different UG courses are out candidates also need to attend a counselling session as part of the admission process.

PG courses: Admission in all PG courses offered at Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya is done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the entrance exam. Candidates qualifying the entrance exam are allotted seats in their respective courses through counselling.

Application Process for UG & PG Courses

Candidates can apply at Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya in the online mode. For the same candidates can fill and submit the application form on the official website of the varsity. Candidates can pay the application fee in the online (debit card/ net banking/ RuPay) or offline (e-Challan at any branch of United Bank of India) mode.

Admit Card

Candidates can download their admit card from the official website of the university. Note that it is mandatory for candidates to carry the computer generated admit card to the test centre along with two copies of duly-attested passport size photographs.

Admission Cycle for UG & PG Courses

Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya admission dates have not been announced yet. Complete admission schedule will be notified as soon as the dates are declared.
