Bodoland University was established by Bodoland University Act 2009, passed in the Assam legislative Assembly. The present Bodoland University is an up-gradation of the Kokrajhar campus of Gauhati University to a full-fledged state University as per the provision of the Act. The university has six faculties (17 Departments) and one Centre for Studies (four centres). The Faculties are of: Languages, Social Science, Science and Technology, Commerce and Management, Humanities and Environmental Science. At present, Bodoland University offers PG, diploma, certificate and doctoral-level courses in the fields of Arts, Science, Commerce, etc. The university has 17 PG departments along with 48 affiliated degree colleges, three B.Ed colleges and four DIET colleges. Bodoland University PG admission 2021 is done basis university-level entrance exam.

Bodoland University also offers scholarships to eligible candidates. SC candidates can apply for the Post-Matric Scholarship through National Scholarship Portal. The last date of scholarship application submission is Oct 30.

The mode of application at Bodoland University is online. Bodoland University PG admission 2021 to courses such as MA, MSc, MCom, MBA, MCA, B.Ed, M.Ed and other diploma and certificate courses is done basis the University-level entrance exam. Apart from this, the University conducts separate entrance exam for admission to the PhD programme.

Free Admission Eligibility Students whose parents’ annual income is less than Rs 2 lakh from all sources are eligible for free admission. This scheme is valid for regular students with minimum 75 per cent attendance and no back paper in previous exams. Nevertheless, students under this scheme shall have to pay varsity week fee, magazine fee and games and sports fee. Students whose parents (mother or father) are working in State, Central or semi-government undertakings are not eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme.
