CMR University is a private university established under the CMR University Act 2013. Located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, the main objective of CMR University offers a plethora of industry-ready academic programmes in the areas of Architecture, Design, Engineering & Technology, Economics & Commerce, Science Studies, Education, Management, Legal Studies, and Social Sciences & Humanities; in line with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020). These programmes are offered through nine specialised Schools of Studies. Accredited by AIU (Association of Indian Universities), the University is also UGC-approved.

One of the key USPs of this University is its CMR Life Skills Institute (CMRLSI), which is a training arm of the CMR Group of Institutions (CMRGI), a conglomerate comprising more than 20 schools and colleges, over 20,000 students and more than 2,500 teaching and non-teaching staff. CMRLSI offers a number of life skills training to the students, teaching, non-teaching staff and others who are actively involved in contributing to the growth and success of this group of institutes.

The registration process for CMRUAT 2022 is ongoing and all candidates who are eligible for admission can apply for the entrance test. Application forms of eligible candidates will be accepted by the CMR University for the CMRUAT 2022 admission test. Therefore, it is advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the CMRUAT 2021 entrance examination.

CMR University admission is both an online and offline process. Students are required to fill the application form available on the official website of the University. For offline admission, candidates are required to visit the campus to purchase and submit the form in-person. The University offers admission both on the basis of a valid score in a course-specific entrance exam or based on a valid score in the last qualifying exam.

UG Courses

• Candidates seeking admission to a UG programme at the University are required to attend a free counselling session in the Department of Admissions and Student affairs
• Candidates willing to pursue BE/BTech must have a valid score in CET, COMEDK UGET or CMRUAT exam
• For BArch, eligible candidates need to get a valid score in NATA
• For other UG courses, admission takes place on the basis of merit scores followed by counselling

PG Courses

• Those seeking admission to the postgraduate courses also need to apply online and register for the free counselling session

• Those seeking admission to MBA need to appear for CMRUAT if they haven’t appeared for any of the CAT/ MAT/ Karnataka PGCET/ KMAT/ ATMA/ other AICTE approved entrance test
• For admission to MTech, a valid score in GATE/ PGCET is the minimum requirement
• For the remaining PG programmes, admission is granted on the basis of merit scores followed by counselling

PhD Course

• For PhD admission, candidates need to have a valid score in CSIR UGC NET or UGC NET exam

The placement cell at CMR University offers a systematic process of meeting the student's as well as the organisation's expectations by functioning as a bridge between students and industries. The placement process starts by uploading the profile of the student on the placement portal. CMR University, Bangalore, has successfully concluded its placement season 2020-21. According to the placements report released by CMRU, over 300 students participated in the CMR University placement drive 2021. Despite the ongoing pandemic, the highest CTC offered at the CMRU placements 2021 was INR 8 LPA while the average CTC stood is INR 3.52 LPA.
