What's new at DU?

• The last date of CUET UG application got over on May 22. But the CUET UG registrations re-opened on May 27 and will remain open till May 31. 
• The registration of DU LLB and DUET 2022 is extended till June 10.
• DUJAT exam scrapped. Admission to BBA, BMS, BBE Admissions Based on CUET 2022. Read More.
• The Academic Council for Delhi University has decided that admission to undergraduate courses will be solely based on Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score. CUET 2022 application process commenced on April 6.

Up until 2021, admission to DU was both entrance and merit-based. Aspirants, willing to apply to more than 90 DU-affiliated/ constituent colleges can register themselves at du.ac.in at the time of admission.  In the past, DU UG admission was based on the 'best of four' aggregate obtained by the applicant in Class 12 exams. However, for entrance-based courses, candidates' performance in the entrance examination such as Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET), Delhi University Joint Admission Test (DU-JAT) or Delhi University LLB Entrance Exam followed by a Personal Interview (PI) was considered.

What’s new at Delhi University Cut off 2022? From this year onwards, Delhi University will not release DU cut-offs and will admit students based on the scores obtained in CUET 2022. DUJAT exam scrapped. Admission to BBA, BMS, BBE Admissions Based on CUET 2022.

DU admission 2022 to undergraduate courses will solely be based on Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores, 2022 onwards. CUET 2022 registration commenced on April 6, 2022, and the last date to apply for the same is May 6, 2022. For students willing to take DU 2022 admission through ECA or Sports category, Delhi University will continue to hold trials for the students; however, keeping CUET mandatory for them.

Delhi University released its first cutoff list on September 30, 2021 and closed admissions after releasing its 3rd special drive on December 3, 2021. The varsity received over 60,000 applications for admission under DU's first cut-off list. The university offers a total of 70,000 seats in various UG programmes under 80+ colleges.

CUET Merit List 2022: Factors affecting DU Cut off

For the first time, students willing to appear for the DU admission 2022, will be required to pass the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Below mentioned are the highlights of the change in the process of University of Delhi cut off 2022, this year:

• What subject should you CUET in? As per guidelines released by DU, candidates must take DU CUET 2022 only in subjects that they have cleared in Class 12.
• Are you eligible? Students will also have to clear the Class 12 exam to be eligible for admission.
• When can you register? The CUCET 2022 registration for UG programmes will begin on April 6, 2022 and will continue till May 06, 2022.
• What's the exam pattern? The entrance test will consist of three sections with objective type questions (MCQs). Check CUET 2022 Exam Pattern here.
• What's DU CUET syllabus? The exam will be strictly based on the class 12 NCERT syllabus (according to media reports).
• What about past year's Class 12 pass-outs? If DU permits students of previous years of Class 12 to take admission in the current year, such students will also be eligible to appear in CUET-UG.
• How many languages can you appear for CUET 2022 in? There are a total of 13 languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malyalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Asamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi and Urdu). 
• What about ECA and Sports category students? DU will continue to conduct the ECA and Sports trials for 2022 admission, which were due to Covid-19 pandemic in the year 2020 and 2021. However, students will have to appear  CUET scores will also be mandatory for those students as well.

Delhi University Cut off 2021: 3rd Special Drive

Delhi University and its affiliated colleges released the last cut-off 2021, i.e. 3rd Special Drive Cut off 2021 to fill up the remaining vacant seats. Before this, Delhi University had announced a cut off under 2nd Special Drive on November 24, 2021. Under the third special drive, candidates can apply for admission on December 4 and December 5. DU affiliated colleges will display the merit list and will approve applications on vacant seats from December 6 to 7, 2021 and selected candidates have the time till December 8 to make payments. Those who could not seek admission or had canceled their admission during the preceding cut-offs but meet any of the preceding and first special drive may be considered for admission under the second drive provided seats are available in the category.
