Established in 1960, Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT) is a government university located in Uttarakhand. The university includes eight colleges approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is also a member of All India Universities (AIU). The university has 14 research centres and over 100 departments. GBPUAT offers over 137 courses at UG, PG and PhD level. The programmes are offered across multiple streams like Commerce, Arts, Management, etc.
The Pantnagar University conducted a placement drive in 2021. In the recent placement in October, the salary package went up to INR 10 LPA for students of MBA (Agribusiness) and MSc courses.
