I.K Gujral Punjab Technical University Punjab Technical University (PTU) is conducting daily direct counselling rounds for leftover/vacant seats for admission in BTech (CSE, ECE, EE, ME & CE) for the main and constituent campuses from November 03- November 05. Registered students are required to appear for online counselling on the mentioned dates. I.K Gujral Punjab Technical University Punjab Technical University (PTU)offers course programs at various undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and Doctoral levels, in the fields of Engineering, Design, Mass communication & media, Medicine & Health Sciences, Business & management studies, Hospitality & Travel, Architecture & Planning and commerce. The university also has a Distance Education Department that offers the same course as the main campus.

The aspirants seeking admission need in the UG programmes need to complete their 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant subjects, from a recognised board. The aspirants seeking admission in the PG programmes need to complete their graduation with a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant subjects, from a recognised university.

PTU conducts admissions to various programmes offered, on the basis of merits scored in the qualifying examination. The aspirant’s scores should meet the eligibility criteria, only then can s/he can apply to the course programme and their candidature will be taken forward, failing which their application can be cancelled.

Admissions Process to Engineering, Architecture, Medicine and Management courses

The university takes admissions to the following courses on the basis of the GATE/CAT/MAT/AMIE /AMIETE /AMACSE/NATA scores. The university does not conduct any entrance examination and the admissions are taken on the basis of these scores. PTU conducts an entrance examination for the Distance Education (DE) MBA Programme. The aspirants seeing admission need to appear for the entrance exam in order to get enrolled for the course.
