Established in 1973 by the Government of Uttarakhand, Kumaun University is located in Nainital, Uttarakhand. The university is spread across 160 acres and has three campuses one each at Almora, Nainital, and Bhimtal. Kumaun University is recognised by the UGC and accredited with ‘A’ Grade by the NAAC. The University has over 65 affiliated colleges and has been ranked 53 for University category by The Week in 2020.
