Maharashtra National Law University, also known as MNLU Mumbai is a state-level Law University. It is one of the new established among 23 NLUs in the country. It was established in 2014 in Powai, Mumbai under the Maharashtra Act No VI of 201 and is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Currently, it offers UG, PG and PhD programmes in Law and Meditation. The University comprises three councils and a committee, namely Executive Council, General Council, Academic Council and Finance Committee. It also gives students a chance to conduct research in the field of Law, Justice, Education and more. For this, it has a total of eight centres, namely Centre for Arbitration & Research (CAR), Centre for Research in Criminal Justice (CRCJ), Centre for Clinical Legal Education (CCLE), Centre for Meditation & Research (CMR) among others.
Apart from regular classes, it also conducts moot court competitions, debating & elocution competitions, quiz competitions and sports activities to enhance student's skills. The University also runs a Student Mentorship Programme, under which students can seek guidance from their mentors. The current campus is spread across an area of 26,280 sq ft. It is fully equipped with basic facilities, such as a library, smart classrooms, a moot court hall, a meditation centre, a legal service clinic, hostel facilities, etc. It has more than 15 faculty members for all programmes.
