The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi is a State University which was established in 2005 under the Act 27. The University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and it is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
NUALS Kochi is one of the top universities of Kerala which provides excellent education and good infrastructure. It offers UG, PG and doctorate programmes under various specialisations.

NUALS offers placements for all UG and PG programmes. The University had placed one-third of the students of 2014 batch. A total of 26 students got placed with a batch strength of 65 students.

NUALS UG Admission 2021: BA- LLB (Hons)The candidates who are appearing for CLAT shall have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination. The candidates who are appearing for 10+2/ equivalent examination can also appear for CLAT. However, the candidates have to submit the results of the qualifying examination at the time of admission. The relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks will be given to the SC/ ST candidates.
*3% of relaxation in aggregate marks will be given to the Socially & Educationally Backward Class candidates. The total seat intake for BA-LLB (Hons) is 60. Out of which 5% of the seats are reserved for persons with disabilities, 2 seats are reserved for Foreign Nationals & 6 seats are reserved for NRI Sponsored candidates. NUALS PG Admission 2021: LLM LLM is a one year programme offered by the university. The total number of seats available for LLM is 40. Out of which 5% of the seats are reserved for Specially Abled Persons (SAP). The minimum aggregate marks for SC/ ST candidates is 50%.
*3% of relaxation in aggregate marks will be given to the Socially & Educationally Backward Class candidates. Note: The candidates who are claiming for reservation for specially disable person have to submit a certificate of disability from the District Medical Board certifying the percentage of disability. NUALS PhD Admission 2021 The candidates have to register for the Departmental Admission Test (DAT) conducted by the University for the admissions in PhD. The candidates who have qualified UGC-NET are not required to sit for DAT. These candidates can join PhD any time. The eligibility criteria for the same is mentioned below:
NUALS PG Diploma Admission 2021 The university offers 2 PG Diploma courses in the field of law. The duration of a PG Diploma course is one year. The number of seats available for PG Diploma course is 50.
Note: The preference will be given to the candidates who have done Bachelor’s in medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, hospital administration or a Bachelor’s in law by NUALS for PG Diploma in Medical Law & Ethics. Candidates who have done Bachelor’s in law will be preferred for PG Diploma in Cyber Law. What is CLAT Counselling?Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level entrance exam that was conducted on July 23.
