NUSRL is a law university established in 2010. It is located in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The university got recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in September 2011. The courses offered by the university are BA- LLB (Hons), LLM & PhD.

The admission to BA- LLB (Hons) will be done through the merit list prepared on the basis of CLAT scores. BA- LLB (Hons) is a five year integrated programme consisting of 10 semesters. The total number of seats available for UG Programme is 120.

LLM is a one-year postgraduate degree programme consisting of 2 semesters. The total seat intake for LLM is 20. Out of which 50% of seats are reserved for the residents of Jharkhand. The eligibility for the same is mentioned below:

* The relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks will be given to SC/ ST candidates.

The course duration of the PhD programme is 2 years. The PhD programme is a residential programme so all the students are required to reside in the hostel during the course of the programme. The eligibility to seek admission in PhD is mentioned below:

For UG & PG Programmes:

1. Candidates have to register on the official website of the CLAT
2. Download the application form from the university website
3. The list of eligible candidates will be prepared on the basis of CLAT scores
4. Selected candidates have to attend counselling-cum-admission round

For PhD Programme:

1. Download the application form from the official website of the university
2. Submit the form along with the required documents
3. Merit list will be announced on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam
4. Admitted students have to report to the university for the allocation of seats

NLU Ranchi Round 4 and 5 allotment (provisional) lists 2021 are released for UG and PG Law programmes.

The National University of Study and Research In Law (NLU Ranchi or NUSRL Ranchi) offers Law courses but is popularly known for its BA LLB (Hons) and LLM programmes offered in full-time mode. NLU Ranchi admission 2021 to BA LLB (Hons) and LLM is done on the basis of merit as assessed through a Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level entrance exam that was conducted on July 23 and the results were released on the official website on July 29. CLAT-qualified candidates must complete the following two-step process to appear for CLAT Counselling, which is presented below:

Step 1: Update NLU preferences

Step 2: Make online payment of Rs 50,000

Registered candidates for CLAT 2021 counselling will be called by the respective NLUs through five provisional merit lists, each released by the Consortium of CLAT. Candidates, who are selected in either of the merit lists will have the following three options, including:

• Accept the allotted seat
• Apply for upgrade
• Exit from CLAT admission process
