Part of Rama Group, Rama University is a private university with three campuses in the state of Uttar Pradesh, while one campus is located in Delhi NCR, two are located in Kanpur. Established in 1996, Rama University is accredited by NAAC and recognised by various institutions and educational bodies like AICTE, DCI, INC, MCI and BCI. Rama University Courses 2022

Rama University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, PhD and short-term courses in 12 disciplines like Medical, Commerce, Agriculture, Engineering & Technology, Law, etc. At the undergraduate level, Rama University offers full-time MBBS, BDS, BPT, BSc Nursing in Medical and Allied Sciences, the duration of these courses ranges between four and five years. Also, the university offers BTech, BCom, BCom (Hons), BBA, BA in multiple specialisations, the duration of these courses ranges between three and four years.  

At the postgraduate level, Rama University offers full-time MD, MDS, MTech, MBA, MBE, LLM, MCA, generally the duration of postgraduate courses is one-two years depending on the field of study. Rama University offers three-year PhD course in specialisation across departments of study like Medical Sciences, Dental Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Commerce and Management, Journalism and Mass Communication, Agriculture and allied industries and Juridical Sciences (Law). Rama University also offers diploma in polytechnic courses. Rama University Admission 2022

Rama University conducts national-level entrance exam Rama University Entrance Test (RUET) in the month of June for admission in undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and diploma courses, whereas the application begins in January. The application forms are available on the official website of Rama University.  

UG Courses  

• Rama University MBBS admission is based on scores in NEET. 

• Admission to the rest of the Rama University UG courses is based on scores in RUET followed by Group discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). 

PG Courses  

• Rama University admission to all PG courses is based on RUET score followed by GDPI.  

PhD Courses

• Rama University PhD Admission is done on the basis of the entrance exam conducted by the Rama University followed by Viva-Voce/PI.

Rama University Scholarships 2022

Rama University offers the following scholarships: - 

• Government Scholarship  

Rama University offers scholarships approved by the Uttar Pradesh government to meritorious students who are from financially weaker sections.  For candidates from the General/OBC/Minority category, scholarships can be availed if the family income from all sources is less than Rs 2 LPA and for SC/ST category, the family income should be less than Rs 1 LPA. 

•   Corona Warrior Scholarship Scheme

Amidst the global pandemic, Rama University announced the Corona Warrior scheme for frontline warriors and their wards. Bank employees, airline employees, medical professionals, healthcare workers, survivors of covid-19 and others who have been working at the frontline are eligible for the Corona Warrior Scholarship Scheme. The benefits of the scheme are on a First-come-first-serve basis where frontline warriors or their children can get up to 50% scholarship. 

Rama University Infrastructure

Following are the on-campus facilities offered by Rama University.

Residential apartments: Students can avail Rama University’s hostel facilities on a First-come-first-serve basis. These are like mini-cities with additional facilitates like dining, shopping, banking, cafeterias and laundry facilities.

Library: Rama University has libraries that hold the latest as well as past edition of most important books. It has 63,279 books and 11,270 volumes of journals, 680 bound journals, 266 journal CDs, 810 Who books, 526 Thesis, 222 floppies, 107 project reports and 32 editions of newspapers, along with e-resources like J-Gate, DELNET, DVL and NDL.

Healthcare: Rama University campuses have well-equipped medical clinics for basic first-aid facilities for minor ailments. Further, the university has its own multi-speciality hospitals.

Sports complex: University has ground and courts to support sports activities like cricket, hockey, football, tennis, etc., along with an athletic track and a gym.

Incubation centre: In 2009, Rama University established Rama Centre for Innovation, incubation and Entrepreneurship to support the entrepreneurship spirit of students from different professions. The cell also provides facilities like initial growth funds, advisory and mentoring support.

MOOT court: Rama University MOOT Courts are a part of Juridical Sciences (Law) here students can have their mock trials for arbitrary cases.
