What's new at Seacom Skills University? Seacom Skills University admission 2021 is open for all its courses. Aspirants can apply online for admission to UG, PG and PhD courses.

Seacom Skills University or SSU came into existence in 2014 as a private university under the policies laid by the Government of West Bengal in provision with the UGC. Seacom Skills University offers multi-disciplinary undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, doctoral and certification courses across 14 schools of study.

SSU has corporate collaborations with IBM and Infosys. They have signed MoU with IBM entitled ‘Career Education in IBM Software (CEIS)’ with an aim to instill the knowledge of IBM software in students as well as for job creations with IBM and its partner companies. Seacom Skills University also has close academic collaborations with international institutions like Scotland's Colleges International and Bourneville College (UK) for faculty and student exchange program with a view to enhance skills and lead to better pedagogy.

Seacom Skills University offers admission to BTech course on the basis of merit in any entrance exam- WBJEE/JEE/SSU.

PG courses

Admission to SSU PG courses is based on merit in last qualifying exam followed by Counselling and Personal Interview (PI)

Doctoral

• PhD Admission are based on RET entrance test scores.

Seacom Skills University Scholarships 2021

SSU offers scholarship schemes provided by the Government of West Bengal. Depending on the eligibility, students can avail any of the following scholarships:

• Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship

Applicable to meritorious students belongingly to economically backward families of West Bengal, the schemes benefits students pursuing UG, PG and Doctoral courses. Students whose family income is less than Rs 2,50,000 can apply for the scholarship.

Eligibility and scholarship amount for different courses under the Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship is tabulated below:

• West Bengal Minorities’ Development and Finance Corporation scholarships for minority students.

Also known as ‘Aikyashree’, the scholarship was recently set up by the Government of West Bengal to promote education among minorities. In order to avail scholarship candidates must have score minimum of 50% aggregate in their previous exam.

For pre and post matric the family income should noy exceed Rs. 2 lakhs, whereas for Merit-cum-Means Scholarship the upper limit for annual family income is Rs 2.5 lakh.

• Kanyashree Prakalpa

Kanyashree K2 and K3 scholarship scheme is for girl students pursuing UG or PG course from any university. In order to avail the K2 scholarship, the annual income family income shouldn’t be more than Rs 1.2 lakh whereas for K3 the candidate must have minimum of 45% aggregate in UG.

While for K2 scholarship, candidate is given one time grant of Rs 25,000The details of K3 scholarship is tabulated below:
