Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU) is a UGC-recognised private University, located in Udaipur. It was established by JK Cement Limited in 2007. The University has two constituent schools under it: School of Engineering and School of Management, which offer nearly 25 courses at UG, PG and PhD level.

The University also accepts lateral entry admission to BTech programme provided the applicant has completed two or three-year Diploma in Engineering or equivalent with minimum 60% aggregate.

Admission to BBA, BCom and BCA is also accepted based on a candidate's performance in SPSAT. Candidates, who have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% in Class 12 are only eligible to apply for these programmes.

The University offers MTech, MBA and MCA at PG level. The admission to all PG programmes is based on a candidate's SPSAT score.

Before applying for MCA admission to SPSU, candidates must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria of the programme. Those not matching the eligibility standards set by the University, will not be allowed to sit for SPSAT.

SPSU offers a PhD programme in Management and Engineering streams. The candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in SPSAT. Candidates meeting the following minimum eligibility criteria are only allowed to apply and sit for the entrance exam:

Candidates can apply for admission through online as well as offline mode. For online application, candidates must follow the below-mentioned steps to complete the application process:

1. Visit the application portal of the University (spsu.nopaperforms.com)

2. Register with applicant's name, email ID and contact number

3. Create a password and select the programme applying for

4. Verify email through a link sent to the applicant's inbox

4. Log in with the verified credentials 

5. Fill in personal information such as name, age, gender, nationality, corresponding address, etc.

6. Enter academic qualifications

6. Upload the required documents and click on 'Submit'

7. Pay the application fee of Rs 1,175 through net banking/ debit card/ credit card/ UPI

SPSU offers scholarships to students based on their excellence in academics. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria to avail these scholarships:

• Fee concession to SPSU employees and their wards

Fifty per cent concession in fees is allowed to self/ spouse/ son/ daughter of University employees. Extended blood relations of employees (brother/sister or son/daughter of brother/sister) are allowed 15% fee waiver. This fee concession shall continue till the employee continues to work in the University. 

• Fee concession for the wards of freedom fighters and defence personnel

Twenty-five per cent concession in fees is allowed to son/ daughter/ grandson/ granddaughter of freedom fighters, son/daughter of armed forces/ para-military forces/police force personnel. This fee concession shall continue throughout the programme. 

• Fee concession for brother/sister of an existing student of University

In case brother/sister/husband/wife of existing students of University take admission into any programme, then 25% fee waiver shall be awarded to either of the students who has lower fees. This fee concession shall continue till both the siblings are studying simultaneously in the University.

• Fee concession for differently-abled children

Twenty-five per cent concession in fee is allowed to differently-abled children with 40% or higher impairment. This fee concession shall continue throughout the programme.

• Economically challenged students

Students with good academics can apply for a fee waiver along with the documents for proof of income of the parent(s)/ guardian. The fee waiver will be approved by the authority upon the receipt of all the required & relevant documents along with the application form.

• Fee concession for the district topper

CBSE or State Board topper in any district in India will be awarded 100% tuition fee waiver throughout the course. The student needs to maintain a minimum of 8 CGPA in all semesters of the course.

• Fee concession to SPSU students joining next higher degree in the University

A student of SPSU on completion of one degree, getting admitted to next degree is allowed 25% course fee concession or Rs 30,000, whichever is lower. If a student is eligible for merit scholarship also, then he/she will be eligible for 10% reduction in tuition fee instead of 25%. 

• Special fee concession to nominated students by their school principal

Apart from merit scholarship, a student may also be given further scholarship if his/her name is nominated by their school principal. The school principal will have the right to nominate only five meritorious students. The nomination of the students will be done in discussion with University authority only, and student needs to show nomination letter issued by the principal on school letterhead. This scholarship will be considered only after the Nomination letter and personal interview of the student.

The scholarships will be applicable to all years of the programme subject to a minimum of 6.5 CGPA. If a student gets backlog in any semester or if he/she is terminated under any disciplinary action, then the scholarship will be stopped with immediate effect.

Note: If any student is eligible for more than one scholarship/ fee concession, then the higher one will be considered.
