What's new at VIT AP University? The University has released its official placement statistics for the year 2022. The highest international package offered was INR 63 LPA. A total of 1,175 offers were made during VIT AP University placement 2022, out of which 246 were super dream offers and 354 were dream offers.

Established in 2017, VIT AP University (also known as VIT Amaravati or VIT-AP or VIT University Amaravati) is one of the four campuses under VIT Vellore University started by VIT Group of Institutions. VIT AP University admission process is conducted in online mode, since 2013. Admission to undergraduate (BTech and BBA), postgraduate (MTech), integrated and doctorate programmes is entrance-based. Candidates must get themselves registered for the respective entrance exam to be considered for admission at the University. Before seeking admission into any course, candidates must ensure their candidature based on different types of reservations, and minimum eligibility criteria. Every year, VIT AP University accepts score of VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE), an entrance exam conducted and managed by the main University, VIT Vellore. But, due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic this year, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has cancelled the VITEEE 2020 exam. The admission of students, now, will be based on Class 12/pre-university marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology for BTech.

UG Courses

• Admission to BTech is based on a valid VITEEE rank (calculated as per system algorithm based on Class 12 marks)
• Students with a valid JEE Main rank or SAT scores will be given weightage
• Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2020 should have secured minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (Class 12 or equivalent)
• Candidates, who have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the qualifying examination, only are eligible for BTech
• BBA admission will be based on VITEEE rank through a cumulative score obtained in merit of Class 12 or equivalent and Personal Interview (PI)
• Admission to BA+LLB and BBA+LLB is based on scores obtained in CLAT/ LSAT

PG Courses

• For MTech and MTech (Research) admission, candidates must qualify Vellore Institute of Technology Masters Entrance Examination (VITMEE) , followed by PI

PhD Courses

• Candidates looking for admission to PhD programme must appear for Vellore Institute of Research Entrance Examination (VITREE), followed by PI
• Candidates, who have already qualified CSIR NET or UGC NET, will get a direct call for PI

VIT AP University offers four-year full-time BTech in three specialisations, namely Computer Science (CS), Electronics & Communication (ECE) and Mechanical. Furthermore, the University offers six sub-specialisations under CS and three under ECE. The University also offers three-year full-time BBA in India and four-year full-time BBA in collaboration with University of Michigan and Arizona State University.
