Set up in 1975, Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh Memorial College, also known as Bela College or ASBASJSM, is affiliated to Punjabi University. The college is accredited by the NAAC, recognised by the UGC under Section 2(F) and 12(B), and is ISO 9001:2015 certified. It offers UG, PG, PGD and BVoc programmes. Add-on programmes in Spoken English, Information Technology, Organic Farming and TV and Video Production are also available. It has also received grant-in-aid from Punjab Government since 1978 and runs NSS and NCC activities on-campus besides having a College of Pharmacy since 1993.

The college offers student-centric, ICT-based learning initiatives such as SWAYAM, UGC’s MOOCs, e-PG Pathshala, National Academic Depository, Swayam Prabha, among others in a co-ed set-up.
