BIT Sindri is spread across 400 acre of land. The Institute has over one lakh textbooks and various other reference books of several disciplines namely Science, Engineering, and Technology. BIT Sindri offers 10 BTech and five MTech programmes across 15 departments such as Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering among others. Admission to all the courses offered by Birsa Institute of Technology Sindri is merit as well as entrance-based. BIT Sindri BTech admission is based on Jharkhand Engineering Entrance Competitive Examination (JEECE) conducted by JCECE Board constituted by the Government of Jharkhand while MTech admission is based on the institute's own entrance test as well as GATE scores.
