Gudlavalleru Engineering College is a private engineering college which is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. Seats are classified as:

• Category A seats – 70% of the sanctioned intake are under this category and these seats are filled by EAMCET Convener.
• Category B seats – 30% of the sanctioned intake in each course are made by the competent authority of the Government of A.P. through online admission process.

BTech 1st Year Admissions General Eligibility

• A candidate should have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December of the Academic Year for which the admissions are being conducted.
• The remaining seats shall be filled with candidates including from other States and Union Territories who have secured rank at AIEEE and secured not less than 45% of marks in the prescribed group subjects in the qualifying examination.
• The seats remaining unfilled shall be filled with eligible candidates on merit basis who have passed the qualifying examination (10+2) of the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. with the prescribed group and obtained at least 45% marks in the prescribed group / 40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories and secured a rank at the Common Entrance Test.
• The seats remaining unfilled even after the admissions through the above enlisted criteria shall be filled with candidates on merit basis securing not less than 45% (40% in case of reserved categories) in the prescribed group subjects taken together / aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

BTech Lateral Entry Admissions General Eligibility

An additional 20% candidates are admitted at BTech level under lateral entry scheme based on ECET rank from diploma and BSc streams.

Admissions are primarily given on the basis of their ranks in the Common Entrance Test EAMCET which is conducted every year by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.

Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (APEAMCET) conducted on behalf of the AP State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) is a national level engineering entrance examination which forms a gateway for admissions to the BE/BTech programmes and various other undergraduate professional courses offered at Universities and Private colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh.  

The selection process is based on the AP EAMCET written exam and web counselling process.

Issue of Notification:

The State Council of Higher Education will issue a notification during June-July in newspapers indicating the dates and ranks of the candidates to be attended for Registration, Verification of Certificates and Schedule for exercising options and also notify the list of Help-line Centres.

The candidates who fail to report for Certificates verification will not be considered for allotment of seats in any of the colleges.

Certificate Verification:

Candidates should produce the following certificates

• Hall ticket of EAMCET 
• Rank Card of EAMCET
• SSC / Intermediate or Equivalent marks memo 
• Study/Bonafide Certificate from III to X Class and Intermediate (10+2) 
• Caste Certificate of SC/ST/BC/Minorities (if applicable) 
• Income Certificate issued by MRO issued (in case the candidate desires to claim fee exemption). 
• PH/NCC/CAP/Sports and Games Certificates (if applicable) 
• Transfer Certificate. 
• Candidates will be issued a receipt of Certificates at Help-line Centres after Verification.

Exercising Options:

• After the Certificate Verification process is successfully comducted, a Blank Option Form along with the list of colleges, courses and their codes will be given to all the Candidates.
• Based on these course codes, the candidates will be asked to write their choice of College and Course code.
• It is advised that the candidates should prepare such lists in consultation with their parents or guardians for better guidance.
• From the given list, the candidates will have to prioritize and write the Priority Number in the Blank Option Form provided to them, which is essential to enter the options on the web.
• Candidates can exercise any number of options and can take print out if required.

Modification of Options and Freezing:

• Candidate can change their option entries any number of times during the allotted time.
• After allotted time for option entry, if the candidate feels that the option which is entered is not satisfactory, then they can modify the options on the dates notified by the authority.
• This will be the final opportunity for making any changes in the option entry. In case the candidate fails to make any required changes, the last entered option will be considered as the final choice.  

Final Allotments of Seats:

• Final Allotments will be placed on the Web. The candidates, with downloaded allotment order, have to report through Self-reporting system and report at the allotted college also.
• These two stages are mandatory and mere reporting through self-reporting or reporting at the college is alone not sufficient to retain a seat.
• If the candidate fails to report through self-reporting and reporting at the allotted college by the dates stipulated, the allotment stands cancelled and candidate will have no claim for further allotment of seats.
