IIFT Kolkata Admission 2021IIFT Kolkata admission process is based on entrance-based examination. The MBA programme shall commence from the first week of July. Here is some important admission-related information for the interested candidates:
- Candidates should have completed their graduation in any discipline to become eligible for admission to MBA (IB) programme
- Selection for these courses is based on their performance in the Writing Test, GD and Personal Interview round
- For foreign candidates, admission is done on the basis of GMAT scores
- Admission to Executive PG Diploma programmes is based on qualifying degree merit
- Candidates must have passed Masters or MPhil degree in any discipline with at least 55% aggregate for PhD
- Shortlisting of candidates for admission to PhD is based on their performance in Written Test and Personal Interview

Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for SC/ST Students: Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Ministry of Tribal Affairs have introduced a liberal scholarship scheme called “Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for SC/ST Students”. Four SC students and four ST students, who secure admission in the Institute’s two-year full-time MBA (International Business) are awarded scholarships by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, respectively. The scholarship provides for:
- Full tuition fee and non-refundable charges
- Living expenses of Rs 2,220 per month subject to actuals
- Books and stationery of Rs 3,000 per annum subject to actuals

| Admission Details | What’s New at IIFT? IIFT exam postponed in Andhra, Odisha, West Bengal due to Cyclone Jawad (expected to hit today). IIFT Kolkata offers MBA, MA and PhD courses, along with the various certificate and online programmes. IIFT Kolkata admissions are based on IIFT entrance test conducted by the NTA (2021 onwards). However, during the final selection, candidates’ performance in the essay writing, GD and PI (GD&PI) round are also considered. Final results are declared on IIFT's official website within a couple of days after the GDPI rounds. The Institute reserves seats for SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer) and physically handicapped candidates.
IIFT Kolkata Admission 2021: HighlightsAdmission to IIFT Kolkata is entrance-based as well as merit-based. | College CutOff | What's new at IIFT Kolkata? IIFT cutoff for admission to the 2022 batch has been announced on Feb 24, 2022. This year, the sectional, as well as overall IIFT cut offs, are lower than last year. The cut off for General category candidates is 42.6 marks for 2022 admission and a total of 2873 candidates have qualified for the second round of the admission process. Along with the admission shortlist, IIFT has also released IIFT cut offs 2022 too. IIFT cut off is the minimum score required to be eligible for the Extempore and Personal Interview (PI) rounds of IIFT Kolkata admissions. Shortlisting of candidates for the second round of IIFT admission is based on both sectional and overall IIFT cut offs. This year, the second round of IIFT admission process will be conducted online. IIFT Kolkata Cut off 2022: Qualifying (Shortlisting Criteria)On the basis of IIFT Entrance Exam held on Dec 5, 2021, and Dec 23, 2021, a total of 2,873 candidates were shortlisted for the second round of IIFT Kolkata admission process. Following was the criteria (also available on www.iift.edu) used for shortlisting of candidates for the second round of the admission process of IIFT Kolkata.:
Shortlisting of candidates for IIFT Kolkata admission is done based on marks scored by them in the entrance exam. A minimum cut off is fixed for this purpose. The minimum cut off varies from one year to another. IIFT cut offs are different for different category students. Candidates who meet the admission cut off are selected for Extempore and PI rounds.
