Established in 2008, The Indian Institute Public Health (IIPH) Hyderabad was established by the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) with an aim to deliver public health education and training, pursue research and advocacy and support policy development as aligned to the public health priorities of the state and the nation. IIPH Hyderabad is one of the five campuses that come under the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI). The institute offers postgraduate, PG diploma, and integrated programmes in the fields of Health and Medical Science. It also offers e-learning programmes in the same field. It has a dedicated and experienced faculty who hail from both academic and industry backgrounds and ensure both educational and soft skill development of the students. IIPH-Hyderabad also arranges various training programmes, research workshops, field visits, and interactive sessions for students along with discussions for participants and research staff.

Students can complete IIPH, Hyderabad application process in online mode only for admission to its postgraduate, PG diploma, and integrated courses in the fields of Health and Medical Science. Below are some important details of IIPH, Hyderabad admission process that an applicant must know of:

• Candidates who have completed their graduation in any stream can apply for the programmes, respectively. Work experience in a health related field is desirable
• Candidates seeking admission in to the MPH course under the convener and management quota will have to appear for the common entrance examination conducted by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal (KNRUHS)
• Admission to IIPH Hyderabad is done on the basis of merit or score obtained in qualifying entrance exam, respective to the course

IIPH, Hyderabad Courses

The Indian Institute of Public Health-Hyderabad offers degree, diploma, and e-learning programmes in the fields of Health and Medical Science. The pedagogy will include lectures, practicum, field work, assignments, and internship. The courses offered by this Institute are enlisted below with details:

• Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management (PGDPHM) is a full-time one-year PG diploma programme. The course is imparted through variety of teaching / learning techniques, including seminars, journal clubs, collaborative learning, group discussions, case studies, lecture discussions, assignments, hands- on training on computers, visits to organizations of public health interest, practicum and field projects
• Masters in Public Health (MPH) is a full-time two-year postgraduate programme spread across four semesters. The course is affiliated to Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal
• Integrated MSc & PhD in Health Informatics is a two-year postgraduate programme in Health Informatics, with the option of pursuing a PhD, if eligible, as an Integrated MSc-PhD in Health Informatics. Duration of the course is divided into two years for MSc and minimum of three years for the PhD programme. The students who complete the Master’s programme with a CGPA of 8 and above will be eligible for the PhD programme. The course is offered in collaboration with The Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR)
• The institute also offers various E-learning programmes, some of these includes eCourse in Effective Grant Writing in Public Health (EGW), Certificate Course in Public Health Surveillance, eCourse in Advanced Hospital Management, eCourse in Clinical Research Methods, to name a few

IIPH, Hyderabad Placements

IIPH Hyderabad placements are driven and managed by its on-campus placement cell which facilitates the employability of all the students enrolled in different academic programmes. The placement cell acts as an interface between the Institute and possible recruiters. It helps students to explore relevant career opportunities on the right career path. It also organises professional development workshop, sessions on email etiquettes, resume writing, cover letter writing, mock interviews, and group discussion.

IIPH, Hyderabad Scholarships

IIPH Hyderabad scholarships are offered to the students under two different categories. It aims to encourage students to choose, pursue and advance career and work in the area of public health. Different categories of IIPH Hyderabad scholarships are listed below:

• Emmes Scholarship Fund: This scholarship is full, half or part-funded and is offered to a specific group of candidates enrolling for Master of Public Health (MPH) programs at IIPHs (Hyderabad NCR, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, and Hyderabad)
• Dr. PG Tulpule Scholarship Fund: It is a full / part scholarship offered to students enrolling for PGDPHM courses at PHFI
