Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal (MCODS) is a privately-funded dental college established in 1965 and accredited by the Dental Council of India (DCI) in 1970. Known as the first self-financing private dental college in India, MCODS is recognised by the Malaysian Dental Council and Kathmandu University. It also serves as a recognised training centre for the MFDS program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Manipal College of Dental Sciences was ranked 2 among 'Top Dental Colleges in India’ as per NIRF 2020 college rankings. As per the MCODS course catalogue, the college offers more than 18 courses in Dentistry. Apart from UG, PG, doctoral (PhD) and diploma courses, the college also incorporates a fellowship programme in Restorative Dentistry. Moreover, MCODS has PG Certificate courses and an Integrated Dental Photography Certificate course for both BDS and MDS graduates.
Postgraduate courses offered by Manipal College of Dental Science are concluded in three years, whereas undergraduate (BDS) programmes are completed in five years.
