MET Institute of Management (MIT), Mumbai was founded in 1989 by Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) with a mission to redefine the system of education. The college in the field of management offers programmes which include MMS, Part Time Masters Degree (MMS/ MFM/ MHRDM) and PhD. The programmes offered are affiliated to Mumbai University and approved by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

MMS is a two-year full-time PG programme affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The course is approved by the DTE and AICTE. The programme aims to develop students into sharp and successful managers. The curriculum consists of case studies, live-projects, role-play, paper presentations, discussions, brainstorming exercises, etc. The total seat intake for this programme is 180 students + 1 J&K student. Admission to this programme is governed by the selection procedure of DTE, Government of Maharashtra. Candidates with valid CMAT/ CAT/ MAT/ ATMA/ XAT are also eligible to apply for this programme. The institute offers three different Part-time Master’s degree programmes which include Master of Marketing Management (MMM), Master’s Degree in Financial Management (MFM), Masters in Human Resource Development Management (MHRDM). These part-time programmes are designed for working executives with specialisation in Marketing, Human Resource Development, and Finance. These programmes are affiliated to University of Mumbai. The programmes are spread across six semesters, each year consisting of two semesters. Candidates to be eligible for these programmes should have a work experience of two years at a supervisory or executive level. The total seat intake for each of these programmes is 60 students. Admission to all of these courses is based on the scholastic record, the level and nature of practical experience and performance in the selection programme conducted by the institute. The selection procedure consists of online test, group discussion, personal interview round conducted on the same day. The final merit list will be declared on MET website. The institute offers PhD programme in Management affiliated to University of Mumbai. PhD is offered in four specialisations, candidates can undertake studies and research in any one of specialisation out of four. The research work is based on the guidelines laid down by the University of Mumbai. The maximum seat intake for each specialisation of PhD programme is eight students. Candidates for PhD programme are selected based on the marks obtained in the PET exam conducted by Mumbai University as per their schedule. For MMS and Part-time Master’s Degree Programme

Step I: Visit the official website, www.met.edu

Step II: On the right-hand corner click on ‘Apply Now’ button and register yourself with name, surname, email, mobile number and qualification. Press the ‘NEXT’ button once done

Step III: You will receive an OTP on registered mobile number or email, submit the OTP.

Step IV: You can pay the application fee through any mode of transaction as mentioned below:

Payment through debit card/ credit card or net banking: Pay the application fee of Rs 1,000 through debit card/ credit card or net banking. On successful payment, you will receive an email with registration code as user name and password with an online link to login and fill the online application form.

Payment through Demand Draft: Draw a DD of Rs 1,000 in favour of ‘MET Institute of Management’ payable at Mumbai. You will receive an email with registration code (to be used as user name) and password with online link to login and fill the online application form. To get your login credentials courier DD/ PO to MET and write name, mobile and registration code behind DD/ PO.Cash: You can also pay the application fee directly at the cash counter of the MET admission office. To pay through cash, select payment mode as cash. You will receive an email with registration code (to be used as user name) and password with online link to login and fill the online application form.

Step V: Login into online form submission and upload all relevant documents as mentioned below:

• Internet copy of allotment letter issued by DTE (for MMS programme)
• Scorecard of CMAT/ CAT/ MAT/ ATMA/ XAT (whichever applicable)
• Class 10 and 12 marksheet and certificate
• Graduation marksheet of all year/ semester including fail marksheet
• Degree certificate/ passing certificate/ provisional passing certificate issued by the University
• Domicile certificate (if applicable)
• Passport-size photograph and signature

Step VI: After uploading all the documents click on the ‘Submit’ button. A PDF file will be generated which contains an application form and enclosed documents

Step VII: Take a colour print of the PDF and submit the same to institute office in person or courier within the stipulated time as mentioned in email to the following address:

For PhD programme

Candidates willing to enrol to PhD programme can apply to MET IOM Research Centre by paying an application fee of Rs 100 in cash. After receipt of the applications and scrutiny, an interview is conducted and final merit list of selected students is published on the MET website.

MET Institute of Management offers a two-year MMS programme at the PG level. Admission to MMS programme is based on MAH CET scores followed by MAH CET Counselling. MET Institute of Management cut off 2021 for CAP Round-I and CAP Round-II was released on December 5 and December 17, respectively. This year, MET Institute of Management recorded, MAH CET cut off of 98.89 percentile in the All India category for Round 1 and 98.45 Percentile for Round 2.

The cut offs for admission through MAH CET 2021 have been released category-wise for all participating institutes along with merit lists for two categories, namely, the Maharashtra State category and the All India category.
