Established by Vidhya Peeth Education Trust in 2006, Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology or PIET is located in Panipat, a state of Haryana. Affiliated to Kurukshetra University, NAAC accredited PIET with 'A' Grade, also, it is approved by AICTE. PIET offers UG, PG and Diploma courses, including a four-year BTech, a three year-BTech (LEET), a three-year BBA, a four-year BPharm, a three-year BCA, a three-year BVoc at the UG level. A two-year MCA and a two-year MBA at PG level and diploma in Engineering and Pharmacy.

PIET has international academic tie-ups with the New Jersey Institute of Technology, MAGES, Singapore and ChungBuk National University, Republic of Korea, for student and faculty exchange programmes. • Hostel: PIET has two boys’ hostels and one girls' hostel with a capacity to house 250 and 100 students, respectively.
• PIET Central Library: Established in 2006, the central library has a seating capacity of 270 students. It has a collection of more than 50,000 books, 156 national and international journals, a subscription of 26 magazines and 11 newspapers. Further, the library has an electronic repository with access to 7000+ journals and databases and 18,310 video lectures.
• Sports: In terms of sports, PIET infrastructure includes a basketball court, cricket and football ground, a volleyball court and facilities for indoor games.
• Start-up Incubation Centre: PIET is home to Haryana’s first-ever state of art incubation centre. It is well-equipped with the latest amenities to support the emerging leaders of the business of tomorrow.
• Healthcare centre: PIET has a healthcare centre, which is supported by a medical officer available during working hours of the institute. A small dormitory is set up for use in the health care centre. The centre has its own dispensary with a qualified doctor and a pharmacist.
• Disabled-friendly Environment: PIET has facilities and a barrier-free environment for specially-abled people. It has ramps to blocks, disabled-friendly washrooms with signage, assistive mechanized equipment and facilities.
