SAINTGITS College of Engineering Minimum Eligibility Criteria for UG & PG Courses

BTech

Government Quota Admission: Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary, Kerala or equivalent with 50% of marks in Mathematics separately and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for Govt. allotments.

Management Quota Admission: Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or equivalent recognised as equivalent thereto, with 45 % of marks in Mathematics separately, and 45 % marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for Management seat allotments.

MTech

Candidates should have completed Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology from an Institution approved by AICTE. Eligibility of candidates with MCA/MSc qualifications is decided from time to time according to the guidelines issued by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Government of Kerala and notified separately

Candidates who have qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and admitted to the MTech programme are eligible to receive Half Time Teaching Assistantship (HTTA) as per the rules of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)/Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).

MBA

Candidates should have passed any Bachelor’s degree exam from a recognised university with not less than 50% marks in aggregate in all parts of the exam. Based on your score in approved tests, they will be invited for an interaction at the college to showcase their prowess in group discussion followed by a personal interview.

MCA (Regular)

Candidates should have studied a degree course with minimum 3-years duration [after 10+2] with Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Computer Application/Engineering and Technology at the degree level.

OR

The candidate should have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in their degree.

MCA (Lateral Entry)

Candidates seeking admission to direct 2nd year must have passed a recognised regular Bachelor of Science degree of minimum 3 years duration in the discipline of Computer Science or Information Technology with Mathematics/Statistics as a subject with not less than 50% marks.

OR

A pass with not less than 50% marks in BCA Degree of minimum 3-years duration from a recognised University.

BTech

Government Quota: For getting allotment through Government Quota, candidates have to go through the centralised allotment process and enter their options in the Institution Code MGP on the date specified by Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE).

Management Quota: Admission is strictly merit-based. Merit list for the admission will be published in the website/college notice board.

MTech

Admissions are offered strictly on the basis of merit. Govt Quota Seats are filled as per the DTE rank order of the candidates applied. Reservation category seats available in the Govt Quota are also filled from DTE rank order of the candidates applied. Selection for Management Quota Seats will be on the basis of the rank list published based on index marks obtained considering the percentage of marks up to 6th semester in the qualifying exam and GATE scores.

MBA

The college offers MBA degree from APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram. Admission is 100% based on merit and follows a 2-stage scientific process:

Stage 1

Candidates must have a qualifying KMAT/CMAT/CAT score, relevant industry experience, and a Bachelor’s degree from MG University (or an equivalent degree from any university recognised by Kerala Technological University) with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.

Stage 2

Those selected at stage 1 need to a session at the institute which includes a group discussion, an extempore speech and a number of personality and aptitude tests concluding with a face-to-face interview. Due weightage is given to gender balance, socio-cultural balance, work experience and a liberal spread of basic disciplines.

MCA

Admissions take place strictly on merit basis and no monetary consideration (overall performance in Degree).

Candidates allotted a seat through Centralised Allotment Process are requested to bring the following documents at the time of joining:

KEAM for BTech

KEAM admit card will be made available for download on the official website of CEE. Registered candidates can download their KEAM admit card by submitting their application number and password.

GATE for MTech

Candidates will be able to download their GATE admit cards from the website - http://appsgate.iitg.ac.in/ - after entering the required credentials.

KMAT, CMAT and CAT for MBA

Candidates will be able to download their KMAT admit cards by entering their login credentials from the official website of KMAT.

NTA issues CMAT admit cards on its official website. Candidates can download their admit card by using their CMAT login and password.

CAT admit cards could be downloaded from the official website of iimcat.ac.in. Only registered candidates can download their admit cards online by using their login ID and password.
