In 1987, the Delhi administration founded Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies with assistance from the Ministry of Human Resources and UGC. It was previously known as College of Business Studies. It is the first college that adopted the method of semester system in Delhi University.
It offers 3 years of undergraduate programmes in computer science, management studies, financial and investment analysis, 1-year post-graduate diploma course in cybersecurity and law. The college also offers certificate courses in financial technology, NSE-certified capital market professional course, financial modelling & algo trading course, data analytics for business course and digital marketing course.

For taking admission in BMS and BBAFIA courses, a candidate needs to go to the DU admission portal. There is a login page which has apply now option. He/ she needs to click on that. However, the candidate should be eligible according to the merit list of DUJAT. For taking admission in BSc Computer Science, one needs to pass the 12th standard exam. The merit list is prepared by the college on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the exam.
However, for the management course, the college conducts a written examination test. Questions are asked on quantitative and verbal skills, business and logic knowledge, and current affairs. While preparing the merit list, 65% weightage is given to the entrance test and 35% weightage to the marks of 12th standard exam.

In the 2017-18 batch, about 82.89% students got placed in the on-campus recruitment drive. The number of offers floated was about 156. The number of offers floated and the number of students who got placed has increased considerably over the years.
