What's new at ZHCET? Aligarh Muslim University will conduct admission test (AMUEEE) in Aligarh and outside for Engineering and Architecture by September 20, 2021.

Established in the year 1935, Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET) is a government college located in Aligarh. ZHCET is affiliated to Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). The institute is ranked 23 for Government Engineering by India Today 2021. The institute has 11 departments, namely- Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Architecture, Computer Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, etc., offering over 20 courses across Engineering, Science, and Architecture streams. The college offers seven BTech and six MTech courses accredited by NBA. Besides the Engineering courses, the colleges also offer Architecture courses at UG, PG, and PhD levels.

The admission to the courses is through an entrance exam. AMU conducts its own entrance exam known as AMUEEE for admission to some of the ZHCET courses. ZHCET also caters to the need of instructional and industrial requirements via state-of-the-art facilities, new technologies, and human resources in collaboration with all the departments of studies. The institute offers merit-cum-means scholarship of lump-sum amount Rs 10000. In addition to this, students can also avail several scholarships offered by AMU and UP Government.  The institute has highly qualified faculty members and spacious library. A special feature of the college is the three halls of residence for male and female students.

Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology admission process will be done based on the entrance exam or merit of the candidates. The application process is online in ZHCET. After the completion of the exam, qualified candidates have to appear for counselling. Shortlisted aspirants will be considered for admission to the applied course.

AMU and UP Government offers scholarship to students of ZHCET. The university provides merit-cum-means scholarships to meritorious and needy Muslim students. EWS students can avail scholarships from UP government. Mentioned below are the ZHCET scholarships:

Donor Scholarships

Two donor scholarships are available for students. These include several other merit-based scholarships offered to students.

Saifi Trust Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to financially weak and deserving students. Meritorious students of AMU in need are eligible to avail this scholarship.

Bharat Sew Trust Scholarship

This scholarship is available to meritorious students pursuing a course in faculties of Engineering/ Law/ Management/ Agricultural Sciences.

UP Government Scholarship

Students of AMU residing in Uttar Pradesh with family income not more than 2 LPA are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The scholarship is given to maximum of two students per family.

Scholarship from the Arabic Republic of the Egypt

This scholarship includes undergraduate study scholarship, post-graduate studies scholarship, and scholarship for the institutes. Indian students are eligible to avail this scholarship provided they meet other eligibility conditions.
