Admission is both merit and entrance-based. The admission is done in three ways, including entrance test conducted by the university, entrance test conducted by separate departments and admission based on marks in the last qualifying examination.

The age limit should not be more than 22 years as on July 1 in the year of admission for BA LLB. The candidate should not be more than 27 years as on 1 July in the year of admission to LLM. Admission to PhD is done through AMU Admission Test, followed by a Personal Interview (PI).
