Amrita School of Biotechnology- Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University (ASBT, Kollam) was founded in 2004. It is approved by the Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC), Government of India as a Centre of Relevance and Excellence (CORE) in Biomedical Technology. It offers UG, PG and doctoral-level programmes across specialisations like Microbiology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Computational Neuroscience.

• PG courses: Students are granted admission to MSc programme basis their scores in graduation followed by an Evaluation and Personal Interview round conducted by the Institute
• PhD (Full-time): Selection in this research-level course is done based on a candidate’s score in written test followed by a Personal Interview conducted by the Institute; candidates who have qualified CSIR NET 2020 / UGC NET 2020 / GATE 2020 can directly appear for the interview
• PhD (Part-time): For admission to this part-time course, candidates are required to appear for a written test and interview conducted by the Institute
