Jindal School of International Affairs, Sonepat affiliated to O.P Jindal Global University is an AICTE approved college. The institute offers BA (Hons) in Global Affairs, MA in Diplomacy, Law and Business along with PhD programme in its curriculum.

Candidates who wish to enrol to the courses offered can apply online by visiting the official website of the institute. Here are a few important highlights of admissions:

• To be eligible for the BA (Hons) programme, candidate must have passed class 12 from a recognised university
• Candidates will be selected to BA (Hons) on the basis of Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test (JSAT)
• For MA, applicants should have done graduation in any discipline from a recognised university
• To be eligible for PhD programme, applicants must have done a Master’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 55 per cent aggregate from any recognised university
• Final selection to PhD programme is based on the academic record, entrance test followed by an interview conducted at the university level

The selection process is comprised of three rounds which consist of an academic score of 10 and 12 grade, faculty interview, and JSAT score of 55 per cent or equivalent (SAT, ACT LSAT – India). Selection to the MA programme is based on the JSAT conducted by the university itself

• Selection of this programme is based on performance in academic record, entrance test and personal interview conducted by the university
• Candidates with more than three years of work experience in industry/ teaching/practising/ managerial or professional will be given preference

The following categories of applicants are exempted from taking the entrance test:

• Applicants who have qualified UGC/ CSIR/ JRF/ NET/ SLET (Haryana State) or any other similar examination
• Holders of Teacher Fellowships from the UGC or any other Government funding agency
• Applicants who have completed their PhD coursework/ MPhil in another university/ organisation, subject to approval by the School Doctoral Committee (SDC)

Candidates can apply to PhD programme in both full-time and part-time mode. The total duration of the programme is not less than three years

Candidates who wish to apply for BA (Hons) & MA (DLB) should follow the below steps:

Step I: Candidate should first visit the official website submit their application form which contains ‘Personal Statement’ & ‘Supplemental Questions’, Class 10 and 12 scores, photograph and application fee of Rs 3000 for BA (Hons) and Rs 1,000 for MA (DLB)

Step II: Selected candidates will be further screened for a faculty interview

Step III: For BA (Hons) entrance exam scores such as JSAT/SAT/ ACT or LSAT-India needs to be submitted. For MA (DLB), entrance exams will be held on a rolling basis commencing from January

Step IV: Final selected candidates should pay the registration fee 

For PhD programme

Step I: Candidates should first visit the official JGU website

Step II: Scan the relevant academic transcripts along with a short note on the professional background and experience of the candidate

Step III: They should also mention a “Statement of Purpose” explaining why they wish to pursue the PhD programme in around 2000 words along with the names of two academic/ non-academic referees

Step IV: Pay the application fee of Rs 1,000 and submit the form

Here is the total fee of different programmes:

Merit Cum Means Scholarship: The MCM covers the tuition fee only. The applications for MCM opens in the month of April and awarded to the eligible students in July. The eligibility criteria include annual family income, Class 12 score, JSAT/JGU or standardized examination results and faculty interview score. Weightage will also be given to curricular and non-curricular achievements
