The School of Biosciences is an on-campus constituent institute of Apeejay Stya University (ASU), located in Gurugram. It is counted amongst the top Biosciences' colleges in Delhi NCR. The Institute uses innovative custom-designed pedagogy to develop skills in students that prepare them in the core domain of Biotechnology such as Molecular Biology, IVF, Vaccines, Nanotechnology, Computational Biology, Biopharmaceuticals, etc. The dynamic curriculum is introduced and revised in consultation with eminent experts of the industry and academia to keep up with the trending scientific research. The Institute currently offers nearly 10 courses in basic & applied Biological Sciences. These courses are offered at UG, PG and PhD level. Admission to the majority of the programmes is primarily based on a candidate's performance in the written test conducted by ASU, followed by a Personal Interview (PI) round. The application forms generally release in the first week of March every year.

At UG level, School of Biosciences offers BTech and Integrated BTech in the field of Biotechnology. The duration of these programmes is four and five years, respectively. The Institute also offers BSc in Medical Lab Technology (MLT) of three years' duration. Candidates seeking admission to any of the aforementioned programmes must appear for a written test conducted by ASU, followed by a PI round. The Institute offers MSc and PGD programmes at PG level. The MSc programme is offered in two specialisations, with a duration of two years. However, PGD is a one-year course that specialises in Clinical Research and Data Management. For admission to these programmes, the candidate's academic record is screened for consistency and the shortlisted ones are invited for a PI round for final selection. The eligibility criteria required for admission to the said courses is provided in the table below:

The Institute offers three specialisations that a student can select from for their research studies under the PhD programme. The course duration of PhD is three years. Candidates seeking admission to ASU's PhD programme in the field of Biosciences are required to appear for a written test conducted by ASU. Those who qualify the test are further invited to appear for a PI round and present their research proposal. All the PhD specialisations, along with their eligibility criteria are tabulated below:

The application process of the Institute is available online as well as offline. The application fee for all the programmes is Rs 1,100. For online application, candidates are required to apply through ASU's official website (university.apeejay.edu). Click on 'Apply Online' and follow the below-mentioned steps to complete the application process:

1. On ASU's application portal, register with candidate's details such as name, email address, mobile number, etc.

2. Acknowledge the verification mail and sign in with the same credentials. Click on 'Apply Now' under 'Online Application Form' on the new page that opens up

3. Select the desired course and enter the candidate's personal details such as name, mobile number, age, nationality, gender, etc.

4. Enter the details of the candidate's corresponding address and click on 'Save & Next'

6. Review the payment details and click on 'Make Payment'. Pay the application fee of Rs 1,116 (including handling charges) via debit card/ credit card/ net banking/ UPI 

Note: Upon registration and payment of application fee, candidates will be intimated about the admission process on their respective email IDs

A duly filled in form should be submitted along with necessary documents and a Demand Draft of Rs 1,100 drawn in favour of “Apeejay Stya Education Foundation”, payable at New Delhi. In the case of an online application, the option to upload the documents comes after payment of application fee. However, when applying offline, candidates are required to hand over the self-attested photocopies of the documents in-person. All the necessary documents are listed below:

• Certificate of the last examination passed
• Medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner
• Character certificate from the head of the institute last attended 
• Three passport-size photographs of the candidate
• Documentary proof of academic gap (if any)
