B.F.Sc.

BFSc (Bachelor of Fisheries Science) is an undergraduate Fisheries Science course that focuses on managing, processing, marketing and conservation of fish. It is a multidisciplinary course that involves the biological study of life and breeding of different species of fish.

The duration of BFSc is four years and it can be pursued as a full-time or part-time (correspondence/ distance education) course. Candidates who complete their BFSc course become technically qualified and proficient to create a successful career in the field of fisheries science. BFSc graduates have good career opportunities in the field as it is less saturated as compared to other fields.

Candidates who meet the below-mentioned parameters fulfill BFSc eligibility criteria:

• Candidates should clear Class 12th in Science stream
• Candidates should mandatorily study Biology or Agriculture subject in Class 12th
• Candidates should score minimum 50% - 60% aggregate marks in Class 12th
• Candidates should be minimum 16 and maximum 25 years in age at the time of admission
