Jharkhand DTODECE - Jharkhand Diploma to Degree Entrance Examination

Jharkhand Diploma to Degree Entrance Competetive Examination (Jharkhand DTODECE) is a lateral entry entrance test conducted by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB). It is a gateway that offers admissions to the interested candidates in the second year of the 4-year regular BE/BTech programmes under the lateral entry scheme. Through Jharkhand DTODECE, the candidates can seek admission in the Government and Private colleges in the state of Jharkhand.

The exam dates for the Jharkhand DTODECE 2020 are yet to be announced. Last year, the exam was conducted in the month of April.

The minimum eligibility criteria for admission of the interested candidates in the second year of the 4-year regular BE/BTech programmes are below. Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility conditions to appear for the exam:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognised board or equivalent.
• Candidates must have a 3-year Engineering Diploma with a minimum of 45% (40% in case of reserved category) marks in the qualifying examination.
• Candidates must have passed the diploma course in any of the following streams such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Drilling Technology, Chemical Engineering.

• The candidates must be a permanent resident of the state as per the act of the State of Jharkhand.
• Proper residential certificates assigned by the Jharkhand government should be produced at the time of admission.
• The candidates appearing for the final Diploma exams or the final year students can also apply for Jharkhand DtoDECE 2019. 

The process for the admission under the lateral entry scheme to the second year of the 4-year BE/BTech programmes are enlisted below.

At this stage, the candidates will have to fill the application forms for admissions to the 2nd year of the 4-year BE/BTech programmes offered under the lateral entry scheme. The application forms are available online on the official website. The candidates are requested to download the application forms and submit them online in order to appear for the Jharkhand DTODECE.

Adhar Card has been made mandatory by JCECEB from 2017 for filling the application form.

After filling and saving the form, the candidates will now have to upload their recent passport size photograph and specimen signature in the prescribed format. With this, the application submission process is almost completed. The final step will be to make the payment of the application fee.

• The candidates shall appear for Jharkhand DTODECE 2020 entrance exam as per the schedule mentioned in the admit card. 
• Aspirants are advised to reach the exam centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam.
• For all the lateral entry UG courses, the university conducts the written examination.

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) would be declaring the results for Jharkhand DTODECE 2019 entrance exams on their official website. Candidates can check their results online by submitting their application number and date of birth.

Step 5: Class Commencement 

The universities/colleges will commence the new academic session soon after the announcement of Jharkhand DTODECE 2020 results by the conducting body.
