NMIMS DAT - Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Design Aptitude Test

NMIMS DAT 2022 - SVKM’s NMIMS Deemed-to-be-University is conducting the online Personal Interview for shortlisted candidates on May 6-7, 2022. Earlier the institute conducted the NMIMS DAT 2022 Studio Test on April 30, 2022. Call letters for the online studio test were issued to successfully registered candidates from April 27. At the time of the test, the candidate will also be required to upload their portfolio. 

Candidates are shortlisted for the Personal Interview on the basis of the Studio Test and uploaded Portfolio. The 1st merit list of candidates selected for admission will be released on May 17, 2022.

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Design Aptitude Test (NMIMS DAT) is a design entrance exam conducted by SVKM’s NMIMS Deemed-to-be-University every year. The entrance exam is conducted in the form of a studio test, personal interview, and portfolio review round to offer admission to the BDes (Humanising Technology) program offered at the School of Design, NMIMS Mumbai.

Candidates who plan to appear for NMIMS DAT 2022 exam need to fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:

• Candidates should have passed Class 12 or equivalent in any stream from a recognized board with at least 60 percent marks in aggregate
• Candidates with International Baccalaureate Diploma are also eligible to apply provided they are IB certificate/ & DP awarded candidates and have cleared their IB exam with total 24 credits having passed 3 HL & 3 SL mandatorily
• Age bar: Candidates over 25 years of age are not eligible to apply

NMIMS DAT 20201 admission process involves the following steps:

First, candidates need to register themselves on the official website of the exam and fill the online NMIMS DAT application form. NMIMS DAT application fee is Rs 2000.

All registered candidates will receive a detailed email about portfolio upload within 10 days of registration fee paid. Uploading portfolio is mandatory for candidates.

NMIMS DAT studio test will be conducted in online mode through online meeting platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Complete details regarding the online studio test will be mentioned in the NMIMS DAT call letter of candidates.

Next, candidates will have to appear for the personal interview and portfolio review round. Similar to studio test, personal interview will also be conducted by NMIMS through online meeting platforms. Complete details will be mentioned in the call letter of candidates.

The names of all candidates who will qualify the design entrance exam will appear in the NMIMS DAT merit list. The merit list will be released by NMIMS on its official website.
