AIIMS Bhopal Highlights 2022

Established in 2012, All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhopal (also known as AIIMS Bhopal) is one of the seven apex healthcare institutes set up in India by the Ministry of Healthcare and Family Welfare (MHFW) under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY). The institute is autonomous in nature and is recgonised by MHFW. AIIMS Bhopal was featured in 'The Week' as one of the best medical colleges in India. AIIMS Bhopal offers medical education at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate level with courses such as Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), BSc (Nursing), MD, MS, Magister Chirurgiae (MCh), Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Critical Care (PDCC) and PhD in all its branches and related fields, along with Nursing and Paramedical training. AIIMS Bhopal Courses and Fees 2021

At the UG level, AIIMS Bhopal offers MBBS and BSc (Nursing) with a seat intake of 100 and 60, respectively. The Institute offers MD/MS and MCh at the postgraduate level in numerous specialisations including Pathology, Psychiatry, Paediatrics and Pharmacology among others. AIIMS Bhopal courses also PhD in five specialisations, namely Microbiology, Neurology, Biochemistry, Paediatrics and FMT. Additionally, the Institute offers PDCC in four diverse specialisations, namely Critical Care, Sleep Medicine, Dermatopathology and Infectious Diseases to postgraduate candidates. AIIMS Bhopal admission process is conducted in online mode only. Admission to UG, PG, super-specialty and doctorate programmes is entrance-based. AIIMS Bhopal Scholarships

AIIMS Bhopal offers a student welfare scheme with the name of ‘Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for SC Students’. The institute aims to support meritorious SC students in their pursuit of better future. In order to apply for the scholarship, candidates must have a family income of not more than INR 8 LPA.

AIIMS Bhopal Infrastructure

Spread across the sprawling campus of 143 acre, AIIMS Bhopal is easily accessible from the Raja Bhoj Airport and Habibganj Railway Station. The institute offers plethora of campus facilities such as state-of-the-art infrastructure, smart classrooms, airy surroundings, hi-tech computer labs, faculty rooms, audio-visual classrooms, etc. which helps in facilitating interactive sessions and project presentations to the students. The central library of AIIMS Bhopal is under construction and will possess with world-class library management system known as Radiofrequency Identification (RFID) system once completed.

AIIMS Bhopal is also equipped with an auditorium which is an impressive architectural building with a seating capacity of 1,000 and an open-air amphitheatre that adjoins the auditorium for open-air events. Over 200 faculty members are spread across seven floors of the building for all-round availability of teachers. AIIMS Bhopal caters to hostel facility for both male and female students under Medical and Nursing streams. Boys hostel comprises a total of 260 rooms, whereas girls hostel include 132 rooms in total.

AIIMS Bhopal Research

Research at AIIMS Bhopal is facilitated with instrumentation, which includes real-time PCR, Flow Cytometry, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Biosafety Cabinets, high-speed Centrifuges, ELISA, Chemiluminescent Analysers and Microscopes with varying resolutions manned by trained technical staff. The Institute also offers UG research which is supported by intramural funding and Short-term Studentships (STS) of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). As many as 25 undergraduates from AIIMS Bhopal have been awarded the prestigious STS fellowships since 2012 and have won several laureates in various national and international conferences.

What's new at AIIMS Bhopal? The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced NEET 2022 exam date. NEET UG 2022 will be held on July 17, 2022. The MCC released the final result for NEET UG Special Stray Vacancy Round 2021 on April 22, 2022.

This year, the MCC announced changes in the All India Quota (AIQ) Counselling process. For NEET UG, the MCC conducted five rounds of counselling this year onwards, AIQ Round 1, AIQ Round 2, Mop-up Round, an AIQ Stray Vacancy Round and a Special Stray Vacancy Round. The option to upgrade and free exit was allowed only in Round 1. After accepting the allotted seats, candidates were not allowed to resign. AIIMS Bhopal Cut off 2021: NEET UG Counselling Dates

Candidates, who score above the NEET cut off percentile, become eligible to participate in the admission process. The NEET cut off varies for candidates belonging to reserved and unreserved categories. The standard NEET cut off has been prescribed by the NTA. But, the Medical Council of India can increase/ decrease the cutoff, if the seats are left vacant. Under MBBS programme, 85% of the seats are reserved for State Quota and the remaining 15% of the seats are reserved for All India Quota (AIQ). INI CET Counselling Dates 2022: January Session

INI CET counselling is conducted in four rounds namely, mock round, first round, second round and open round. All the rounds of counselling are conducted in online mode. The seat allocation process comprises online registration, choice filling and locking, verification of documents, payment of counselling fee, and INI CET 2022 seat allotment.
