Q. Is AIIMS Nagpur campus ready?

A. The infrastructure planned in the first phase of AIIMS Nagpur is ready, however, not all the facilities are up and running. The institute still operates from its temporary campus, GMC Nagpur.

Q. Will the classes of AIIMS Nagpur be conducted with the students of GMC Nagpur?

A. No, AIIMS Nagpur has been allocated three fully-equipped lecture halls. All the classes for the candidates admitted to AIIMS Nagpur will be conducted separately in these halls.

Q. Which entrance exam is accepted by AIIMS Nagpur for MD/MS programme?

A. Candidates, who wish to apply for postgraduate courses in AIIMS Nagpur, must appear for INICET examination. Candidates, who qualify this entrance test, will be given the chance to choose their desired college. AIIMS Nagpur will be allotted on the basis of the choices filled by the candidate and his/her score in AIIMS PG exam.

Q. What courses are offered by AIIMS Nagpur?

A. AIIMS Nagpur currently offers three courses namely; MBBS, MD and MS. The institute will start accepting students for BSc Nursing once the department of Nursing is complete.

Q. Which entrance test should I take for admission to MBBS at AIIMS Nagpur?

A. For admission to the MBBS degree course at AIIMS Nagpur, a candidate must qualify NEET-UG. This is the only examination for admission to undergraduate medical courses in India.

Q. How many seats are offered for MBBS at AIIMS Nagpur?

A. AIIMS Nagpur offers a total of 100 MBBS seats. Out of these, 51 seats will be allocated to general category candidates and all others are reserved for SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS/ PWD candidates.

A. The hostel fee for those pursuing MBBS degree course from AIIMS Nagpur is INR 4,228 per annum.

A. The course fee for MBBS at AIIMS Nagpur is INR 1,628 per annum. Apart from this, a student will have to bear other expenses such as hostel fees and books.

Q. When will AIIMS Nagpur start BSc Nursing programme?

A. The department of Nursing is still under construction. AIIMS Nagpur will start taking students for BSc Nursing course upon completion of Phase-2.

A. AIIMS Nagpur is currently working in collaboration with the Government Medical College of Nagpur. GMC Nagpur is located in Hanuman Nagar, Ajni.
