Established in 2004 with the support of the Government of Gujarat, Act No. (Guj 5 of 2004) dated April 29, 2004, Anand Agricultural University (AAU) is one of the renowned institutes for veterinary sciences. It is providing support to the farming community in three aspects such as education, research and extension activities in Agriculture, Horticulture Engineering, Product Processing and Home Science. Currently, there are seven colleges, seventeen research centers and six extension education institute, working in nine districts of Gujarat namely Ahmedabad, Anand, Dahod, Kheda, Panchmahal, Vadodara, Mahisagar, Botad and Chhotaudepur. The University is recognised by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and offers nearly twenty five courses at UG, PG and PhD level.

AAU Admission Process 2021

Anand Agricultural University has nine UG and one PG college. The University offers a varied range of courses in the field of Agricultural, Horticulture and Veterinary Sciences. Anand Agriculture University admission process for these courses is as below:

• Admission to all UG programmes is based on candidate's performance in Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET)
• For PG and PhD programmes, the admission is conducted through Gujarat State-Agricultural Universities of Gujarat Common Admission(GSAUCA)
• A relaxation of 5% is given to the SC/ ST candidates

AAU Scholarships

• AAU UG Merit Economically poor Scholarship: This is for the economically poor undergraduate students whose family income is below Rs 6 LPA. The value will be Rs five hundred per month per student. Merit Scholarship shall be awarded to four students in each College
• AAU PG Fellowship: The University awards one fellowship in each of its faculty separately for both Masters (Rs 1,500 per month) as well as doctorate degree (Rs 2,000 per month) that is one fellowship for Masters and one fellowship for PhD in each faculty purely on merit basis
• National Talent Scholarship: All the undergraduate students admitted in the Agricultural University located outside their state of domicile are given a scholarship at the rate of Rs five thousand per month
