About
Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, also known as BFUHS, is a state-level university which was established in 1998 in Faridkot. It is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
The University comprises six faculties, namely Faculty of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Dental Sciences, Faculty of Nursing Sciences, Faculty of Ayurveda, Faculty of Physiotherapy and Faculty of Homeopathy. MBBS, MD, MS, PG diploma, BSc (Nursing) and MSc (Nursing) programmes offered by this University are recognised by the Government of India. It has more than 100 affiliated and 7 constituent colleges.

The University offers more than 20 basic courses in more than 100 specialisations. Admission to all these programmes is conducted online through the official website of the University. Candidates, who meet the given eligibility criteria, can register online. The course-wise eligibility details regarding BFUHS admissions are mentioned below:
UG Courses
- Admission to MBBS and BDS programmes is based on NEET UG scores
- Admission to other UG programmes is merit-based

PG Courses
- A valid score in NEET PG is required for admission to MD, MS and MDS programmes
- Admission to other PG programmes is merit-based
- A candidate must have passed graduation to apply for any of the PG courses
PhD Course
- Admission to PhD is based on PHDET conducted by the University
- Candidates, who have completed a master’s degree in the relevant stream, can apply for PhD programme
PG Diploma Course
