Established in 2014, APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (Kerala Technological University KTU) is a state university located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The University is renamed in honour of the former president of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. It is an AICTE and UGC-approved university that offers UG and PG courses under popular streams such as BTech, BArch, BHMCT, MTech, M.Arch or MPlanning, MBA, and MCA.

• Admission to the BTech programme is based on KEAM entrance exam followed by a counselling round

• Reservation policy set by the Government of Kerala and the Government of India is followed for MBA admission
• Selection of candidates for the MTech programme is done centrally or monitored by the Directorate of Technical Education as per the guidelines by the Government of Kerala
• For MCA, the selection is done based on Kerala CEE exam followed by a personal interview
• Candidates for M.Arch are selected based on merit in UG level examination

The applicant with 50 per cent marks in Mathematics at Class 12 level can also apply. A. KEAM 2020 will be conducted in offline mode only.

A. Yes, candidates of Indian Origin, Keralite and Non-Keralite, all are eligible to apply for any course in this university.

A. BArch applicants should have passed Class 12 or equivalent with at least 50 per cent marks or Class 10 along with a three-year diploma in any stream. Candidate must have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject in Class 12. Final selection is done on the basis of NATA scores, a candidate must have at least 80 per cent marks in NATA to clear the Cutoff.

A. Yes, students who belong to SEBC (Socially and Educationally Backward Classes) category is given a relaxation of six per cent aggregate marks in the qualifying examination for the MTech course. For the MCA course, SEBC and PH category students are given a relaxation of five per cent aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
