NIT Silchar Admission 2022: Highlights

National Institute of Technology Silchar offers BTech, MTech, MSc, MBA and PhD programmes. NIT Silchar admission 2021 to all programmes is done basis the national-level entrance exam. The mode of application at NIT Silchar is online.

NIT Silchar admission to BTech programme is done basis JEE Main score followed by JoSAA counselling. Further, National Institute of Technology MTech admission 2021 is done basis GATE score followed by CCMT counselling. Admission to MSc and MBA programmes is done basis JAM and CAT / MAT / CMAT scores, respectively.

What's new regarding NIT Silchar cut off 2021? CSAB has released the 2nd Special Round cutoff 2021 on December 8 while the 1st Special Round cut off 2021 was released on December 5, in form of All India CRL Ranks on. These ranks are based on the two types of candidates, including candidates, who reported online at the preferred institute (secured admission) in JoSAA Round 6 and upgraded the institute/ programme/ category/ quota/ gender pool in CSAB Special Round or the candidates, who got fresh allotment in CSAB Special Round.

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) Round-1 seat allotment results were announced on October 27 followed by Round 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 cutoffs as OR and CR on November 8, November 12, November 16, November 19 and November 21 respectively. NIT Silchar cut off 2021 is the minimum rank required by the candidates in JEE Main to be eligible for admission to the institute. JoSAA 2021 Round 2 seat allotment results are available on the official website from November 1. Follow the below-given steps to check the JoSAA Round 2 seat allotment results 2021:

Step 1: Visit the official website of JoSAA (www.josaa.nic.in). Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on 'View Seat Allotment Result - Round 2'.

Step 2: Enter JEE (Main) application number, password and security pin. Hit the 'Login' button to view the result

Step 3: The seat allotment result will appear on the screen. Candidates can now freeze/ float/ slide with their allotment based on their preference.
