What's New at NLU Delhi? According to the National Law University, Delhi NIRF Report 2022, 42 students out of 80 students were placed during NIT Delhi UG (5-year) placements 2021. Further, the median package offered during NLU Delhi placements 2021 for the UG (5-year) programme was INR 18 LPA.

Established in the year 2008, National Law University, Delhi, also known as NLU Delhi is a state-level university located in the capital of India. Out of the 23 NLUs in the country, NLU Delhi is among the leading ones. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is also a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU). NLU Delhi is accredited with an ‘A’ grade with a score of 3.59 by NAAC and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI). NLU Delhi is ranked 2 for Law by NIRF 2021. In 2020, also the university was ranked 2 by NIRF. The university offers a total of 11 law courses across two streams at UG, PG and PhD levels. Additionally, NLU Delhi also offers PG diploma, certificate, diploma and bridge courses. The university conducts All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) to shortlist candidates for UG, PG and Phd admission.

The University has a pioneering E-Moot Court Hall equipped with the latest up-to-date high-tech AV equipment, with a capacity of over 170 people This is a prominent feature of law schools. The university has signed new MoUs with 60 national and international universities/ institutes. Top companies like Global Citizen India, HelpAge India, Human Rights Law Network, Action Aid, Aggarwal Law Associates, etc. participated in the NLU Delhi Placements. NLU Delhi offers Post Metric Scholarships for SC and OBC students, Scholarships for Persons with Disability, etc. to support financially weak and meritorious students. Additionally, University of Bergen, Norway regularly offers Erasmus Plus Scholarships to NLUD students. It was offered to 9 students for the Academic Year 2019-20.

The University offers national as well as international opportunities to the students through its various collaborations. It has signed new MoUs with top 60 universities or institutes in countries like Europe, America, Australia, South Africa, etc. NLU Delhi conducts collaborative research activities, students or faculty exchange programmes and other academic activities in collaboration with these MoUs. Some of the collaborations are mentioned in the table below:

The university offers  11 law programmes across two streams. The university offers a five-year BA LLB at the UG level and a one-year LLM programme at PG level. PhD, PG diploma, certificate and diploma courses are also offered by the university. PG diploma is offered in four specialisations and diploma in two specialisations.

Besides, the university also offers bridge courses for a duration ranging between one or two-year. The academic and examination regulation for BA LLB (Hons) shall apply to bridge courses.

In collaboration with various universities/ institutes, NLU Delhi also conducts student exchange, faculty exchange, joint research programmes, and organise conferences/ workshops, lectures, and short courses. The university offers admission to BA LLB, LLM and PhD courses through AILET. The shortlisted aspirants are required to appear for university counselling. In case of PhD, aspirants will also need to qualify interview/ viva-voce followed by an evaluation of the research proposal.
