Scholarships

Description Type
For Technology Leaders Program (TLP) Plaksha is committed to ensuring that no deserving student is denied access to education because of their personal financial constraints. This is made possible through our generous need-based financial aid and some merit-based scholarships. 1) Need-Based Assistance - The admissions process at Plaksha is ‘need-blind’. A need-blind process ensures that the basis for admission to TLP is performance alone. - Once admitted, the Office of Financial Aid ensures that adequate financial aid is provided. The percentage of aid is calculated based on the income, wealth, and expenses of the applicant’s family. The scholarship ranges from a 25% waiver on the tuition fee to a complete waiver on the entire fee, including the hostel. 2) Merit-Based Scholarship: - Limited merit scholarships are also available. - All applicants are considered for merit scholarships by default. 3) A Lalitha Scholarship for women in STEM The ‘Ayyalasomayajula Lalitha’ Scholarship Fund provides financial aid to deserving women students from a less privileged background pursuing full-time postgraduate programs at Plaksha University. This scholarship fund is instituted and initially supported by the A.T.E. Chandra Foundation (ATECF). ATECF manages the philanthropic capital of Archana & Amit Chandra and A.T.E. The Foundation works closely with leading Indian and global players in the social sector space in pursuing its objectives of creating a more equitable, inclusive and sustainable society. • Scholarship Fund is subject to a well-defined eligibility and selection process. • ATECF desires that the recipients of the scholarships be morally obliged to pay the value of the principal back to the fund so as to make the fund sustainable and enable future women change makers at Plaksha to benefit from the same fund.
