Suresh Gyan Vihar University (SGVU) is a private university which is located in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It came into existence in 2008 and was established by the Government of Rajasthan. The university became the first private university in Rajasthan to be awarded an 'A' grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is affiliated by UGC, AICTE, NBA, AIU, PCI and NBTE.

Suresh Gyan Vihar University caters more than 4000 students with approximately 300 faculty. It offers UG, PG, Integrated, Diploma and PhD-level programmes under its several schools such as Hotel Management, Engineering & Technology, Applied Sciences, Agriculture, International School of Business Management (ISBM), Health Care, Education,  Interdisciplinary & Liberal Studies, Pharmacy, Law, For Doctoral Training In Sustainable Development and School of Gyan Vihar UG College.

Admission process of Suresh Gyan Vihar University usually takes place in May and June every year. The University offers BHMCT, BCA, BPT, BPharm, BCom, etc., programmes at UG level and MCA, Executive Research Programme in SDGs, B.Ed, MEd, MA, etc., at PG level. In addition to all these courses, diploma and PhD programmes are also offered.

UG Courses

• Admission to BTech is based on SGVUEE/ JEE Main score whereas for BTech Lateral Entry (LE), it is merit-based
• For BHMCT programme, admission will be based on the qualifying marks obtained in SGVUEE/ NCHMCT JEE
• Admission to the programmes such as BCom, BA (General), BA (Hons) (Economics, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology) and BSc (Biotechnology, Virology & Immunology) is based on a candidate's score in Class 12
• Candidates seeking admission to BSc (Hons) Agriculture and BSc Hospitality & Administration is based on ICAR AIEEA and JEE Main, respectively
• Suresh Gyan Vihar University accepts the score of SGVUEE/ CLAT for admission to BBA+LLB programme
• The University conducts SGVUEE for admission to the rest of the UG programmes

PG Courses

• Suresh Gyan Vihar University MTech admission is based on a valid score obtained in SGVUEE/ GATE
• MBA admissions will be granted on the basis of a valid score in CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ ATMA score 
• On the basis of Pre-Teaching Entrance Test (PTET) and Pre-MEd Entrance Test (PMET) scores, students are selected for B.Ed and MEd programmes, respectively
• Admission to MSc (Information Technology, Pharmacology, Virology & Immunology) is done through the merit obtained in the qualifying exam
• For the rest of the PG programmes, students need to take SGVUEE conducted by the University for admission 

PhD Course

• Candidates seeking admission to PhD must have a valid score in the entrance exam conducted by the University
• Aspirants who have qualified either UGC NET/ CSIR NET/ GATE/ SLET/ GPAT/ ICAR (JRF/ SRF), need not appear for the Univeristy-level entrance exam and can directly apply for PhD programme

Suresh Gyan Vihar University offers numerous courses under its different schools such as Hotel Management, Applied Sciences and Architecture among various others. Elaborated below is the information regarding admission for all the UG programmes.

The University offers four-year BTech programme in eight specialisations. The programme is spread across eight semesters. Candidates willing to seek admission to any of BTech specialisations need to have a valid score in SGVUEE/ JEE Main.

Selection process: Final selection of the candidates will be done through Personal Interview (PI).

BTech Lateral Entry (LE) is offered in a few specialisations. Admission to the same is merit-based and minimum eligibility requirement is mentioned below:

Suresh Gyan Vihar University offers BSc (Hons) and BSc programmes in two and ten specialisations, respectively. The course duration for BSc (Hons) Agriculture is four years while for the remaining specialisations, it is three years each. Apart from BSc Virology & Immunology and BSc Biotechnology, admission to all the BSc (Hons) and BSc programmes is entrance-based. Shortlisted candidates will be called for PI round for final selection.

The University offers three-year BA (Hons) and BA programmes in six and two specialisations, respectively. Admission to BA (Hons) Psychology and BA Journalism & Mass Communication is based on SGVUEE score whereas to the remaining specialisations of BA (Hons) and BA programmes, it is merit-based.

Selection process: Selection for BA (Hons) and BA programme is based on PI conducted by the University.

Under the School of Business Management, the University offers BBA programme in four specialisations. The course duration of BBA Business Analytics is two years whereas for the rest of the BBA specialisations, it is three-years each. Admission to BBA is done based on the makrs score in SGVUEE exam conducted by Suresh Gyan Vihar University.

Selection process for Business Analytics: Selected candidates will have to go through a PI round for final selection.

At UG level, the University offers seven more programmes, including two integrated programmes of five-year duration. BHMCT, BPT and BPharm programmes have a duration of four-years each whereas BCA and BCom have a course duration of three years each. Admission to all these courses is entrance-based, followed by a PI round. 

• The University also offers BPT LE programme. The minimum eligiblity criteria is a pass in diploma in Physiotherapy course from an institution approved by AICTE/ UGC can take admission in the third semester of BPT
• BPharm LE is offered by the University. To be eligible for the same, candidates must have passed DPharm from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India

Apart from having a valid score in the course-specific entrance exam, candidates also need to meet the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:

Suresh Gyan Vihar University offers eight postgraduate programmes including MTech, MBA, MSc, MCA, Executive Research Programme in SDGs, B.Ed, MEd and MA in several specialisations. For admission to any of these programmes, selection of eligible candidates is made by the University-based or national/ state-level entrance test followed by a PI round. All these programmes have a distinct course duration and eligibility requirements. Details regarding same is elaborated below.

At the PG level, the University offers full-time MTech programme in eight specialisations. Admission to MTech is based on SGVUEE/ GATE score. Candidates, who have completed BTech in relevant field, can apply for the same. Given below is the eligibility criteria for the same:

Suresh Gyan Vihar University offers three specialisations under MBA. Admission to MBA is done through a valid score in the required entrance exam. Three-year MSc programme is offered at Suresh Gyan Vihar University in eight specialisations. The University accepts admission to MSc programme on a valid score obtained in SGVUEE exam conducted by Suresh Gyan Vihar University. Candidates, who qualify the entrance exam, need to further go for a PI round for final selection. To know the eligibility criteria, refer to the table below:

Suresh Gyan Vihar University offers MCA, Executive Research Programme in SDGs, B.Ed, MEd and MA Psychology. The duration of these programmes ranges between one and three years, depending on the course. Admission to B.Ed and MEd course is based on PTET and PMET exams, respectively whereas for all the remaining programmes, it is based on a valid score in SGVUEE conducted by the University. The shortlisted candidates are further invited for a PI round for the final selection. Candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria of the respective course before applying for admission.

At the doctoral level, the University invites applications for PhD programme as a part of its academic curriculum. The minimum duration for PhD programme is three-year, including course work and a maximum of six years. Selection to PhD programme will be made on the basis of entrance test and interview conducted at University’s end. The candidates who qualify ICAR (JRF/ SRF) / UGC NET/ CSIR NET/ SLET/ GATE/ GPAT or is a Teacher Fellowship holder will be exempted from taking the University-based entrance test.

Selection process: The final selection will be based on the performance in entrance test (70 per cent weightage) and interview (30 per cent weightage) subject to scoring requirement amount of aggregate in the interview.

Other than UG, PG and PhD programmes, the University also offers Diploma and Diploma LE programmes. The course duration of Diploma in Hotel Management is one and a half years whereas for the remaining diploma programmes, it is three years. Suresh Gyan Vihar University also offers diploma LE programmes with a duration of two years.
